While this ruling is step in right direction to ensure safe water is provided to all Americans, here’s what it means for you —

  1. It will be years and years before muni water systems execute this PFAS cleanup. Why? They can’t afford it.
  2. Meanwhile … do you have PFAS in your tap water? Don’t guess, get it tested to find out!
  3. If your tap water comes from well water, this ruling has no impact on you. Well water is highly susceptible to PFAS contamination because the groundwater that often feeds wells frequently polluted by PFAS based on proximity to airports, industrial and manufacturing sites, and farming.

So, we applaud the EPA for taking a long-overdue action to ensure safe drinking water. However, it does nothing to ensure your tap water is safe to drink right now!

Get it tested so you can take corrective action — purification and filtration solutions — if PFAS is present. Keep your family safe.
