All new homes with
private wells for drinking water must have
their well water tested. A laboratory
certified by the New Jersey Department of
Environmental Protection (NJDEP) must sample
and analyze the water in accordance with the
Salem County Board of Health requirements.
The Salem
County law requires specific testing
of the well water for a variety of
contaminants and chemical parameters.
Testing includes a standard PWTA Parameter
test (Total Coliform Bacteria, pH, Iron,
Manganese, Lead, Mercury, Nitrate, Volatile
Organic Scan and Gross Alpha Analysis).
PAS removes the
aggravation of water testing by offering the
following services.
- Sampling 7 days a
week by appointment – days and evenings
- Results in 2 to 5
working days.
- Technical service
and Personal attention.
- Reports faxed and
mailed to the Atlantic County Health
Department.
