Precision Analytical Services, Inc. (PAS), a full service environmental testing laboratory is fully certified by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) for Drinking Water Parameters. PAS is the largest lab in New Jersey specializing exclusively in Drinking Water Analysis and Sampling Services.

PAS was founded and incorporated in 1992 by Mark D. Feitelson who owns and operates the laboratory. Mr. Feitelson received his MS Degree in Environmental Chemistry in 1982 from The College of William and Mary. He earned a BS Degree in Marine Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1979, and has specialized in Drinking Water Analysis since 1981.

While completing his MS Degree, Mr. Feitelson worked for the USEPA on a pesticide fate research project. Since then, he has worked in environmental laboratories as a Chemist, Supervisor, Laboratory Manager, Director of Environmental Services and Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. He has initiated and brought success to 3 environmental laboratories in New Jersey prior to starting PAS.

PAS is unique in its specialization. Although our capabilities and instrumentation can support laboratory testing of soils, hazardous waste and wastewater, our laboratory is dedicated to testing only Drinking Water. The analysis of your drinking water samples is a top priority. It also prevents contamination of the laboratory equipment by "dirty" wastewater, soil, or hazardous waste samples. This ensures minimal "down time" of equipment allowing quicker turn-around-time for sample results.

At PAS, instrumentation is the benchmark of our capabilities. Our major instrumentation is fully automated, ensuring the highest quality data and quick turn-around time. All instrumentation is dedicated for specific analyses. There is never a need to worry about downtime as we have back-up equipment for every piece of instrumentation used in the laboratory. Our inventory includes 14 Gas Chromatographs, 5 GC/Mass Spectrometers, 4 Dionex Ion Chromatographs, 12 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers, 2 TJA Trace ICAP's, 4 UV/VIS Spectrophotometers, 5 pH/ISE Meters and a myriad of miscellaneous analytical equipment.
